How the DiSC Types Survive Summer

D – Dominance
Motto: “Why are we wasting time talking about vacation when we have a winning summer?”
D’s treat summer like a competition. They’rein the parking lot by 6 a.m. to “beat the heat.” They pitch a strategy meeting at the beach and call it “Sun & Strategy.”

I – Influence
Motto: “If it’s a team meeting or a pool party? I’m bringing Popsicles!”
I’s show up in Hawaiian shirts on Casual Friday (and Monday, and Thursday). They organize impromptu ice cream breaks and keep trying to make “Margarita Mondays” a thing.

S – Steadiness
Motto: “Stay cool— emotionally and temperature-wise.”
S’s are the peacemakers, gently mediating thermostat wars and diplomatically saying, “You might want to bring a sweater” when the AC hits Antarctic levels. They bring watermelon slices in for the team and water the office plants while everyone’s on PTO.

C – Conscientiousness:
Motto: “I made a spreadsheet for how we can all enjoy summer and meet our Q3 goals.”
C’s remind everyone that just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean deadlines melt away like Popsicles. They calculate optimal indoor temperature settings, create color-coded vacation calendars, and wear sunblock with scientific precision.”

Whether you’re the ambitious D, the sunny I, the mellow S, or the precise C, you’re part of the perfect recipe for a workplace that works and plays responsibly all summer long. Now, if only we could agree on the thermostat.
